Rare Earth elements in the periodic table lanthanide - lanthanum (La), cerium (Ce), praseodymium (Pr), neodymium (Nd), promethium (Pm), samarium (Sm), europium (Eu), gadolinium (Gd), terbium (Tb), dysprosium (Dy), holmium (Ho), erbium (Er), thulium (Tm), ytterbium (Yb), lutetium (Lu), and 15 with lanthanide elements is closely related to the two elements - scandium (Sc) and yttrium (Y), a total of 17 elements, known as Rare Earth elements (Rare Earth)
Rare earth elements are a group of seventeen chemical elements that occur together in the periodic table (see image). The group consists of yttrium and the 15 lanthanide elements (lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, promethium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, and lutetium). Scandium is found in most rare earth element deposits and is sometimes classified as a rare earth element. The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry includes scandium in their rare earth element definition.
The application and theoretical problems of rare earth in medicine have long been the research project of the world. The pharmacological action of rare earth has been discovered very early. The earliest application of cerium salt in medicine, such as cerium oxalate, can be used to treat oceanic dizziness and pregnancy vomiting.
